I will forever have gender envy because oh to be a suburban 17 year old boy in 2002 who lives purely off of Monster energy drinks, cigarettes, and the dream of his garage band making it big so he can get out of his hometown. He is who this album was made for.

UGHHHH I LOVE A MOVIE THAT REMINDS ME THAT BEING A HUMAN COMES WITH HARDSHIPS AND NO ONE ACTUALLY HAS IT ALL FIGURED OUT AND THAT’S JUST THE BEAUTY OF THE HUMAN EXPERIENCE. I LOVE BEGINNERS. I LOVE EWAN MCGREGOR. I LOVE LIFE. I LOVE THE HUMAN EXPERIENCE.

OBSESSION

Oh I have so many things to say about this. I have not stopped thinking about the car scene for a week. I could talk about how the final scene relates to My Chemical Romance’s Demolition Lovers for HOURS. I can’t explain how happy I am that independent filmmakers are hitting box office records. We are so back. Cinema is becoming cinema again.

THELMA & LOUISE

This will forever be my favorite adventure movie. The absolute definition of female rage. Two women who intend to swap their mundane lives for a girls trip for the weekend end up on a crime spree that gets… well, I would say “out of control” but no, this WAS them taking control for the first time.

(side note I think Geena Davis is the most beautiful person to ever exist)

    I honestly haven’t been drawn to many recently-published fiction lately, but this one got me good. A story of love, self-discovery, the music scene in the early 2000s, and a LOTTTTT of good song recs. 10/10 what more could I ask for?

    I’ve discovered a newfound love for nonfiction recently. (I never thought those words would come out of me wow) This book has an incredible way of making you want to immediately put it down, get up off your ass, and make something, anything. It’s a not-so-gentle reminder of all the ways resistance butts its nosy little head into the lives of any form of artist, every single day. This book should be required reading for anyone looking to embark on any sort of creative endeavor.

    This is my first Clarice Lispector book and I could not be more excited. I’ve been meaning to get into her work for months now after seeing a few excerpts online. Her way with words is so inspiring that even the first paragraph of this book made me contemplate the complexities of human existence. I know that the second I’m able to sit down and begin this book I won’t be able to move until I finish it
